These product families are officially transitioning to Light Tape Gen 2, simplifying the product lineup while delivering meaningful performance enhancements — most significantly, the upgrade from 12V to 24V.
What You Need to Know
Light Tape Users
- Gen 2 consolidates the lineup into a single double-density version compatible with both indoor and outdoor applications
- Gen 2 features a stronger and more reliable connection design
- Light Tape 300 (single-density) users will transition to the new Gen 2 double-density version as the Gen 1 single-density option is discontinued
- Light Tape 600 (double-density) users will transition to Gen 2 with additional performance improvements
FlexTAPE & Flex Strip Users
- Expanded CCT, color, and RGBW options
- Improved efficacy, increased power supply capacity, and longer run footage
- Compatibility across indoor and outdoor applications
- Improved ingress protection

- Light Tape Gen 1 Outdoor products have no dimensional changes

- Light Tape 300 Gen 1 and FlexTAPE users will find Gen 2 compatible with existing installations, with brightness increases up to 60%
- Light Tape 600 Gen 1 users will find Gen 2 compatible with existing installations, with brightness increases up to 26%
- Flex Strip users will find Gen 2 compatible with existing installations while maintaining similar brightness levels
