Product Update: Qwik Mod™, NRG, & Phoenix Series Transitioning to Qwik Mod Gen 2

Qwik Mod™, NRG, and Phoenix Series products are transitioning to Qwik Mod Generation 2, bringing meaningful performance, design, and application enhancements.

We’re excited to announce a major update to Qwik Mod™, NRG, and Phoenix Series products. Products within each family are officially transitioning to Qwik Mod Generation 2, bringing meaningful performance, design, and application enhancements.

What You Need to Know

  • For Qwik Mod Users: Gen 2 features improved optical performance and increased efficacy. For 24V users, Gen 2 is constant current for longer run lengths and is now available in a complete range of sizes and colors.
  • For Phoenix & NRG Users: Gen 2 features improved optical performance and increased efficacy for increased run footage and/or brightness depending on the model. As a family, Gen 2 ensures all depths, sizes, and colors are available.

What’s Changing

The new Gen 2 releases introduce several improvements over the original designs, including:

  • A complete range of sizes and colors in both 12V and 24V options
  • Improved optical performance
  • Increased efficacy for higher power supply capacity and better run footage
  • For 24V users, constant current for longer run lengths
  • For NRG and Phoenix users, the completed Gen 2 family ensures all depths, sizes, and colors are available.

Availability & Transition Timeline

  • Gen 1, NRG, & Phoenix Last-Time Buy: Available while supplies last; however, support for existing programs will continue throughout the program’s life.
  • Gen 2 Shipments Begin:

Form, Fit, & Function

  • Form: For Gen 1 users, minor dimensional changes with light grey overmold color to distinguish between 12V and 24V modules. For NRG and Phoenix users, more significant form-factor changes — see datasheets for details.
  • Fit: Gen 1 users will find Gen 2 to be compatible with existing installations; however, dropping 12V Large into existing layouts will be significantly brighter. NRG and Phoenix users will find Gen 2 to be more efficient; however, existing layouts may not be compatible due to performance upgrades — see datasheets for details.
  • Function: Design improvements include enhanced optical performance and increased efficacy, improving light efficiency and increasing power supply capacity.

Customers with validation requirements should review Gen 2 documentation to confirm compatibility.
